Identify the product and layer function
Describe the finished product, the position of the material and the converting method. Spunbond, Meltblown, SSMMS and PP/PE are different material families. Selection should follow the intended function and measurable requirements.
List the documents to review
Send the project requirements, including test methods and acceptance criteria where defined. Check that documents relate to the offered grade and sample. Material documentation is not automatically certification of the finished product.
Separate material and finished-product approval
After selecting the fabric, assess the converted product as required by the project. Use appropriately competent testing support. Publish performance statements only where evidence applies to the product concerned.
