Outdoor conditions vary by season and location. Describe the crop, covering method and expected service period before selecting agricultural nonwoven material.
Define the purpose of the cover
Direct crop covering, row covering and supported structures are different uses. Explain the project objective and growing conditions. A generic agricultural-fabric name or reference photograph is not a complete specification.
Discuss outdoor exposure
Sun, rain, wind and duration of exposure affect the requirements. If UV treatment or another feature is needed, confirm it with appropriate information for the offered grade. Do not assume all PP rolls have the same outdoor service life.
Trial on a limited scale
Assess a sample using the intended fixing and handling method at the growing site. Observe installation, removal, surface condition and compatibility with the cultivation process. Results at one location do not automatically apply to every season or region.
